This image represents the fragility of innocence and the strength of choice.
The veil is the theoretical protection between good and bad. The bubble wrap or veil we often observe around us. “Don’t go outside without a jumper”, “wear a helmet”, “sleep by 7:30”, “don’t date until you’re 18” ,“eat more protein”, “face care routine”, “lift heavier weights”. The list is endless. Although helpful it can feel suffocating.
The allure of the dark is so attractive, and it is so easy to crave its deep, slow and suffocating embrace. Away from all the boundaries. Then we remember the power of choice.
So here the de-veiled orb is presented with a choice. To fumble through the mist? Pull the veil back over herself or to give into the allure of the dark?
Or maybe it is not a choice but a journey to uncover the fog which leads to a space that is not stifling or secret, but a breath of fresh air, a clarity in the wind and a light filled expanse that is more than just beauty but brings meaning and joy.
